J Balvin's car collection

The Ferrari LaFerrari is the crown of J Balvin's Ferrari collection, a limited-run hybrid hypercar of which only 499 coupes were ever built. Its naturally aspirated 6.3-litre V12 pairs with an electric motor to produce 950 combined horsepower, propelling the car to 60 mph in under three seconds. Autoevolution confirmed it as part of his garage, and Colombian automotive press reported it as the first hypercar ever imported into Colombia. The Ferrari F40 is arguably the most culturally significant car Balvin owns, a twin-turbocharged 2.9-litre V8 classic that was the last model personally approved by Enzo Ferrari and the first production car to break 200 mph. He acquired the red example in January 2021 through celebrity dealer WiresOnly in Los Angeles, a purchase confirmed across Colombian and international automotive press, and was so taken with it that he wrote and released a song titled simply "F40". Only 1,311 examples were built between 1987 and 1992, and the market for clean road cars now clusters between $2.5 million and $4 million. The car sits at the emotional centre of the collection and appears in the music video of the same name.

The Ferrari 458 Speciale is a limited-production variant of the 458 Italia built between 2013 and 2015, featuring a naturally aspirated 4.5-litre V8 producing 597 horsepower and a top speed of 202 mph. Ferrari made it lighter and more aerodynamically focused than the standard car, with side intakes and carbon-ceramic brakes as standard. Balvin's ownership was confirmed by autoevolution in January 2022 alongside his other Ferraris. The Speciale remains one of the most driver-praised naturally aspirated Ferraris of the modern era and commands a strong market in Colombia.

The Ferrari 812 Superfast is the front-engined V12 grand tourer in Balvin's garage, producing 789 horsepower from a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated engine and reaching a top speed of 211 mph. His white example is fitted with gold HRE wheels and reportedly won an elegance concours held in Medellín. Multiple Colombian and Spanish automotive outlets, including Motor16, list it as part of his private collection. It is one of only three 812 Superfasts in Colombia, adding a regional rarity dimension to the car's already exclusive status.

The Ferrari 512 Testarossa is the oldest car in Balvin's collection, a flat-12 mid-engine icon produced from 1984 through the early 1990s that became a pop-culture symbol through its Miami Vice-era fame. Balvin's example reportedly wore a matte black wrap for a period before being restored and added to his garage. Autoevolution lists it among his confirmed Ferraris, making it the entry point into the collector side of his lineup. The Testarossa's flat-twelve engine, with its distinctive side strakes and wide body, gives the car a visual drama that fits well alongside the more modern machines it shares a garage with.
