Finished in Ferrari's signature rosso red and fitted with a retractable hardtop, this California was among the most recognisable cars in Tata's collection. Power comes from a 4.3-litre naturally aspirated V8 producing 490 bhp and 504 Nm of torque, routed to the rear wheels, making it the most exotic car he personally drove with any regularity. A red soft-top convertible finished in the same hue as the Ferrari California, this F-Type S was a left-hand-drive car that Tata reportedly imported privately into India. The supercharged 5.0-litre V8 under the bonnet produces 488 bhp and 625 Nm of torque, sent to the rear wheels through an automatic gearbox. Owning a Jaguar carried an extra dimension of personal significance for Tata, given that his Tata Group acquired Jaguar Land Rover from Ford in 2008.

The R129-generation SL 500 is one of the older cars in the collection, finished in a silver-grey shade and configured as a left-hand-drive roadster. Republic World and CarBlogIndia both confirm Tata owned the fifth-generation SL, which is powered by a 5.0-litre naturally aspirated V8 producing around 306 bhp. The R129 was the first production car to feature an automatically deploying roll bar, a safety milestone that made it notable beyond its grand-touring credentials. The fifth-generation Quattroporte, designated M139 and produced from 2003 to 2012, was an unexpected entry in Tata's collection given his preference for convertibles. The M139 was available with either a 4.2-litre or a 4.7-litre Ferrari-derived V8, giving it a top speed of 171 mph and a character that sat closer to a sports car than a traditional luxury saloon. Over 25,000 examples were produced during the M139's nine-year run, making it one of Maserati's most commercially successful generations.
