Volkswagen is a German car manufacturer that was founded in 1937 by the German Labour Front. The company’s name means “people’s car” in German. Volkswagen is the largest car manufacturer in Europe, and it also owns a number of other brands, including Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche, and SEAT.

Volkswagen has a long history of producing popular cars, such as the Beetle and the Golf. More recent models include the Passat and the Tiguan. The company also makes commercial vehicles, such as the Transporter van.

Volkswagen has been embroiled in a number of scandals in recent years, including the emissions scandal of 2015. This led to a decline in sales and reputation for the company. Volkswagen has since embarked on a major reform program, and it is hoped that this will help to restore its reputation.
