The crown of a tire is the portion of the tire that comes into contact with the road. The shape of the crown determines how a tire will perform in different driving conditions. For example, a tire with a more rounded crown will provide better grip on wet or icy roads, while a tire with a flatter crown will provide better grip on dry roads. The depth of the tread also plays a role in determining how well a tire will perform. A tires with shallower tread will wear down faster, but will provide better grip on slippery surfaces. A tire with deeper tread will last longer, but may not provide as much traction on slippery roads. Ultimately, it is up to the driver to decide which type of tire is best suited for their driving needs.
