Bevel gears are gears with conical or beveled teeth. They transmit motion between two shafts that are not parallel to each other. Bevel gears can be either straight or spiral. Straight bevel gears have teeth that are straight and angled. Spiral bevel gears have teeth that are curved and angled.

There are several advantages to using bevel gears. One is that they can change the direction of the rotational force. Another is that they can do this while maintaining a constant speed ratio between the two shafts. Bevel gears can also increase or decrease the speed of rotation.

There are some disadvantages to using bevel gears as well. One is that they can create a lot of noise. Another is that they can be difficult to align correctly.

Bevel gears are used in a variety of applications. One common use is in automotive transmissions. Bevel gears are also used in many industrial applications such as pumps, compressors, and conveyors.
