Active suspension

Active suspension is an automotive suspension that actively uses electronic or hydraulic controls to dampen bumps and vibrations. It was first introduced in the 1980s and has become increasingly popular, especially in luxury vehicles. Active suspension can provide a smoother ride than traditional passive suspension. It can also improve handling by reducing body roll and keeping the tires in better contact with the road. However, active suspension is more complex and expensive than traditional suspension, so it is not typically found in mass-market cars.
