However, Toyo engineers didn't want to make a compromise between this and the driving comfort. So, they developed a tread compound to make the ride feel less stiff and made the casing resistant to high-speed deformations and distortion under heavy load. This makes the tire wear off evenly, resulting in a more comfortable ride.
- High-silica tread design: The addition of high-silica content in the tread compound makes Extensa A/S II grip the road better in wet conditions and reduces rolling resistance. This leads to even wear and improved fuel economy.
