Test reports — summarized by us for you

  • Tyre Reviewsexemplary (1,1)

Conclusion: Testing highlighted excellent in both wet and dry conditions with good handling and a solid warranty. Drawbacks included slightly higher price point. | Note: Ranked 1st out of 7

    2023 tyre Reviews UHP All Season tyre test · 275/40 R20 106Y
  • Tire Rackgood (1,6)

Conclusion: The Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus offered a generally comfortable road ride, softening larger hits and absorbing smaller imperfections with poise, though with a touch of residual motion. Noise was well-mitigated, and the steering feel was subdued and responsive but not particularly eager or lively. On the wet track, the steering continued to be unexciting and flat, but this was paired with strong traction and compliant, well-balanced behavior, resulting in a neutral and capable performance. The dry track experience was more refreshing, where the tire felt intuitive and athletic, held back only by its somewhat flat steering. During winter testing, it showcased admirable performance, accelerating well and being easy to drive, but it was somewhat unbalanced, as its braking didn't feel matched to its acceleration, and cornering required managing both front and rear grip. | Note: Ranked 2nd out of 9

  • Tyre Reviewsgood (2,4)

Conclusion: Testing highlighted best wet handling, fastest wet circle, good in snow, and good levels of comfort. Drawbacks included average snow performance. | Note: Ranked 2nd out of 4

    2022 UHP All Season tyre test · 245/40 R18 97Y
  • AutoViewsatisfactory (3,1)

Conclusion: The Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus posted the highest steady-state cornering speed of the test at 75.71 km/h and was the lightest tire at 11.85 kg. Dry braking was within half a metre of the Michelin. Drawbacks included the Continental had the worst weight deviation of the test (145 g vs the test best of 40 g) and finished only fourth in the lane change at 100 km/h. Subjective noise was the equal lowest score. | Note: Ranked 3rd out of 5

  • Tyre Reviewsadequate (3,7)

Conclusion: Testing highlighted excellent wet handling, good levels of comfort, and low levels of noise. Drawbacks included average dry performance and subjectively it felt more like a touring tire than a UHP tire. | Note: Ranked 5th out of 7
