Brake torquing is the process of applying torque to the brakes to make them more effective. This can be done by hand, using a wrench or other tool, or by machine. Brake torquing is often used in racing applications, where it can help to improve braking performance and shorten stopping distances. It can also be used in situations where the brakes need to be particularly effective, such as when driving in wet or icy conditions. Brake torquing should only be performed by experienced mechanics or professionals. Improperly executed brake torquing can damage the brakes and potentially lead to accidents.
