The G37 is a successor to Infiniti’s G35 model and a sibling model to Nissan’s 370Z. It also shares the same engine as that car, and it’s widely regarded as one of the most reliable engine options among Nissan’s V6s.

Even so, our team wanted to help a bit through this guide on the Inifiniti G37 (2008-2015) firing order and cylinder layout. That way you can check if a certain cylinder is misfiring and also diagnose oil leaks and related issues, so let’s get right into it.

First-generation Infiniti G37 (2008-2015) firing order

As the only generation model of the G37, the first-gen coupe was produced from 2008 to 2015 before it was discontinued. Also, the facelift version was introduced in the mid 2010s but they all feature the same 3.7-liter V6 engine, so let’s discuss the firing order.

The Infiniti G37 3.7L firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6, so it’s the firing order that goes for all the Infiniti G37 models from 2008 to 2015. This engine is a longitudinal V6, which means there are driver’s side and passenger’s side cylinder banks with three cylinders per bank.

So, cylinders 1, 3, and 5 are ordered front to rear on the passenger’s side, while cylinders 2, 4, and 6 are ordered front to rear on the driver’s side.

Our take

Overall, the G37 model proved its reliability and dependability time and time again, but we aimed to provide a few more helpful instructions that may help you keep it properly running. Make sure to consider the cylinder positions within the engine when using the firing order to check if each cylinder is firing when it should.
